Passport and Visa Requirements

All foreign visitors entering France must hold a valid passport or national ID.

  • EU nationals do not generally require a visa.
  • Participants from countries requiring a visa must apply through the French Consulate or Embassy in their country of residence.

Visa applicants must meet the requirements set by their local French consular authorities, which typically include:

  • A conference invitation letter
  • Confirmed travel arrangements (flight, train, and/or bus)
  • Hotel reservation and valid health insurance
  • Proof of online conference registration
  • Any additional local consular requirements

Participants who require a visa are advised to register for the conference as early as possible.

To request an invitation letter, contributors must complete the Invitation Letter request form and send it to the European Physical Society at

conferences@eps.org

. The signed letter will then be returned to the applicant.

Please note:

Invitation letters are issued only to contributors with an accepted submission. The paper reference number will be required.
