Conference Venue

The conference will take place in the Sapphire rooms (1st floor) of: Vilnius Park Plaza is located in an exclusive part of the city – between the Old Town of Vilnius and Vingis Park, so the windows of the hotel offer spectacular views of the city and the park which is surrounded by nature. If you wish to escape from crowded city centre walk just few steps from the hotel towards the main entrance of the Vingis Park. In it, you can not only take a walk surrounded by the beautiful nature, enjoy a book right on the lawn or in the cafe there, but also rent a bicycle or roller skates. |

Passport and visa requirements
Foreign visitors entering in Lithuania must be in possession of a valid ID or passport. EU nationals, in general, do not require a visa. Delegates from countries requiring visas should apply to the Lithuanian consular offices or diplomatic missions in their home countries. Those who need a visa must satisfy the visa requirements of their local German Embassy/Consulate including
- Invitation Letter VISA
- a confirmed travel booking, including flight, train and/or bus bookings, hotel reservation and health insurance
- a confirmed order for their online registration as well as any special local requirements.
Therefore, all participants requiring a visa should first register for the conference. Contributors requesting a letter of invitation should pre-fill the Invitation Letter and return it to the European Physical Society (conferences@eps.org) to be duly signed and returned to the recipients.
Important: The invitation letter will only be sent to contributors who have submitted a contribution. The reference of the paper will be asked.
Welcome reception
The welcome reception will take place on Monday, 26.08.2024 from 18h30 at the hotel in the “Horizontas restaurant” situated on the 16th floor. Dinner is not included.
Conference Dinner
The conference dinner is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, 28.08.2024 at the Belmontas Restaurant in Vilnius. Transfer from the hotel will be organized by bus.

Public transportation

Electricity
In Lithuania, power plugs and sockets (outlets) of type F are used. The standard voltage is 220 V at a frequency of 50 Hz. This type is commonly used in Europe. A power plug travel adapter for sockets type F may be required for other continents.
