The venue "Main Building of University of Hamburg" is an ideal place located in the very centre of Hamburg, near the "Congress Centre", Alster, City Hall, several museums and churches, and the shopping mall Jungfernstieg. A lot of hotels are located at walking distance. Furthermore, this place can be reached very easily from the airport by using S-Bahn regional train.
Conference Dinner
A conference dinner will be organised on Wednesday 1st September evening. For attendees the dinner will be free of charge. The dinner will happen on a board of a ship with about 350 seats and cruising through the habour and along the Elbe river for three hours.
Additionally a conference dinner can be ordered online at a special extra cost of EUR 50.- per non-attendee. The dinner will take place on Wednesday evening, September 1st, 2010. Please filled out the dinner form. Deadline to reserve was 25th July 2010. Registration is now closed.
Passport and Visa Requirements
Germany joins the Schengen treaty. Foreign visitors entering Germany from outside EU must be in possession of a valid ID or passport. Visitors from countries requiring visas should apply to the German consular offices or diplomatic missions in their home countries.
Currency: Euro is the official currency in Germany.
Major credit cards (VISA, Mastercard/Eurocard, American Express, Diners…) are generally accepted in airports, train stations, hotels, larger shops etc.
