World-reknown researchers discuss the latest developments in the scientific community accompanied by educational sessions at the student and postdoctoral level, and by informal breakout sessions for discussion and vendor display viewing. The fourth in a row, the Europhoton conference has shown to be very popular among the scientists and engineers that have continued to place it on their calendars.

Conference highlights are a public evening lecture related to the 50th birthday of lasers (LASERFEST) and a special symposium on "High power lasers for materials processing" where the focus will be on high power fibre, solid-state, and semiconductor lasers with related applications.
